Who controls the money?
Just as Congress and the president control fiscal policy, the Federal Reserve System dominates monetary policy, the control of the supply and cost of money.
To ensure a nation's economy remains healthy, its central bank regulates the amount of money in circulation. Influencing interest rates, printing money, and setting bank reserve requirements are all tools central banks use to control the money supply.
The U.S. central banking system—the Federal Reserve, or the Fed—is the most powerful economic institution in the United States, perhaps the world. Its core responsibilities include setting interest rates, managing the money supply, and regulating financial markets.
Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System
The Board of Governors--located in Washington, D.C.--is the governing body of the Federal Reserve System. It is run by seven members, or "governors," who are nominated by the President of the United States and confirmed in their positions by the U.S. Senate.
Central banks are the key organizations that control money supply. These organisations hold different names depending on their country: the Federal Reserve controls monetary policy in the United States, for the European Union it is the European Central Bank, and China's is the People's Bank of China.
The Constitution gives Congress the power over the currency of the United States including the power to coin money and regulate its value. Congress also has the power to charter banks to circulate money. The converse power of the creation of currency is to regulate any and all counterfeit currency.
You must have legal authority to manage someone else's money. To have legal authority: You must have the permission from the person whose money you are managing. The person, of adult age must have the mental capacity to give their consent.
In most modern economies, money is created by both central banks and commercial banks. Money issued by central banks is termed reserve deposits and is only available for use by central bank accounts holders, which is generally large commercial banks and foreign central banks.

Major shareholders vary across the big four banks. Institutions own around 23 per cent of the shares of ANZ and Westpac, 18 per cent of CBA, and 27.7 per cent of NAB and 27.5 per cent of Macquarie.
Who owns the money in a bank?
At the moment of deposit, the funds become the property of the depository bank. Thus, as a depositor, you are in essence a creditor of the bank. Once the bank accepts your deposit, it agrees to refund the same amount, or any part thereof, on demand.
Instead of pre-determining the price of foreign currency, the market dictates what the cost will be. The United States is just one of the major economies that uses a floating exchange rate. In a floating system, the rules of supply and demand govern a foreign currency's price.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) manages and prints currency notes in India.
Deuteronomy 8:17-18 King James Version (KJV)
But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.

It's a form of coercive control that limits an individual's freedom to make them dependent on their abuser. Examples of financial control may include someone: Preventing a person from accessing their bank account. Interfering with any benefits received.
If there were no money, we would be reduced to a barter economy. Every item someone wanted to purchase would have to be exchanged for something that person could provide. For example, a person who specialized in fixing cars and needed to trade for food would have to find a farmer with a broken car.
Most of the money in our economy is created by banks, in the form of bank deposits – the numbers that appear in your account. Banks create new money whenever they make loans. 97% of the money in the economy today exists as bank deposits, whilst just 3% is physical cash.
The barter system likely originated 6,000 years ago. The first coin we know of is from the 7th century BC and the first paper money came into the world around 1020 AD. Eventually, medieval banking systems gave way to the gold standard, which in turn gave way to modern currency.
Who backs the U.S. money supply?
Answer and Explanation: The Federal Reserve backs money supply in the United States. The Federal Reserve has the responsibility of managing and controlling the money supply and individual's faith in the government is the most important source that backs the money supply and its acceptability.
Banks create money by lending excess reserves to consumers and businesses. This, in turn, ultimately adds more to money in circulation as funds are deposited and loaned again. The Fed does not actually print money. This is handled by the Treasury Department's Bureau of Engraving and Printing.
By defini- tion, currency and demand deposits are money, while checks, credit and debit cards are not. This is because currency and checking deposits are their owner's assets, whereas a check or a credit/debit card is not a part of its owner's assets.
Joseph Safra is considered the wealthiest banker in the world. He was a Brazilian-Lebanese banker and the founder of Banco Safra.
